A positive, peaceful and stimulating ADA designed environment is required for Sunrise-Reminiscence Neighborhood residents. Dementia and Alzheimer’s residents are provided areas for relaxation, sitting and meditation. Residents practice life skills on raised vegetable gardens, clothes lines and water features. There are many places to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Sturdy handrails line both sides of the circular walkway, acting as orienting wayfinding elements. This inward focused garden is fragrant with seasonal flowers, and attracts birds and butterflies.
